Description Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Finance
Director, reporting into the VP Finance, KES. This role creates
value by improving business outcomes as a strategic member of the
leadership teams at KES business units and by leading a team that
delivers a business finance capability that creates a competitive
advantage for KES. The successful candidate will be a change agent,
championing transformation by defining what good looks like,
creating clear strategies and roadmaps to close gaps, and aligning
and motivating a team to constantly improve results by more fully
applying Principle Based Management. The role can be located in
Wichita, Kansas, Houston, Texas or Scottsdale, AZ What You Will Do
In Your Role
- Work with and through your team to advance a shared vision that
creates superior value for KES by building a high-performing team,
creating the right environment, and helping each employee
increasingly self-actualize.
- Utilize division of labor by comparative advantage to ensure
the right capabilities and responsibilities exist on the team and
that individuals are in roles that maximize business outcomes.

motivated team. Develop and deploy effective talent management
strategies.
- Actively engage and develop strong relationships with the
business leadership team(s), the controller organization, financial
operations, and other stakeholders to better understand,
anticipate, and meet business needs.
- Provide economic/financial leadership and challenge that:
influences, supports, and increases the speed to business
decisions, increases the rate of transformation, informs and guides
strategies, and drives prioritization and execution.
- Develop processes, systems, and tools that: Deliver a
step-change improvement in transparency, availability, and
communication of financial results.
- Provide meaningful insights including identifying gaps between
how the businesses are performing today and future state
success.
- Drive clear understanding of marginal bets and range of
outcomes.
- Identify and develop reality-based measures of key strategies,
bets, risks, and opportunities to deploy a culture of
accountability and drive profitability.
- Partner with internal KES/KII capabilities (e.g., financial
operations, data analytics, etc.) to develop in-depth data
analytics and compelling visualization tools.
- Evaluate the profitability of various customers, product lines,
segments, business units, business development projects etc. to
understand and optimize cost structure, pricing, and investment
strategies.
- Support acquisition and divestiture activities such as quality
of earnings, due diligence, and analysis
- Develop strategies to optimize capital consumed and ROCC.
- Deploy economic thinking skills (e.g., marginal analysis, DMF,
opportunity cost, risk optimization, capital consumed framework
etc.) The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a supervisor and proven ability in
talent management including selection, retention, development, and
optimization.
- Experience building strategic partnerships and providing
thought leadership, including value creation opportunities, and
communicating insights effectively.
- Progressive growth in financial analysis, strategic planning,
business development, business decision support, or related roles
with increasing scope and scale
- Financial modeling experience which includes key driver
analysis, economic framing, Business and/or Operations strategies,
and innovative approaches to visualization
- Ability to provide decision support and analysis and to
effectively model and apply key financial metrics (e.g., EVA, NPV,
ROCC, NIAT)
- Experience applying strong analytical and problem-solving
capabilities; including originating ideas, collecting data,
establishing facts, performing analysis, drawing conclusions, and
presenting a point of view to key stakeholders and business

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance Koch
