Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Saw Operator Job Description We are seeking an experienced Machine Saw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying metal to customer orders and processing material according to work order specifications. This role involves maintaining processing equipment in a clean and safe condition, ensuring accurate information entry, and performing additional tasks as assigned. Responsibilities Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing. Set up equipment safely to run material according to setup note specifications. Process setup notes as per work order specifications. Verify product meets setup note specifications and record measurements. Communicate with sales representatives regarding order changes or clarifications. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Enter and delete material identification tags following written instructions. Assist in packaging material per written work instructions and work orders. Maintain measurement equipment in working condition. Operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements. Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming material. Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality. Train others when required. Participate in lean or quality improvement activities. Essential Skills Certification in material handling. 2 years of saw operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Experience with inventory control, reading blueprints, and operating machines to specification. Ability to read and write, and perform basic math skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous warehouse experience, particularly in the metals industry. Forklift operation experience. Computer literacy. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.20 - $22.20/hr.
