Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician for the first shift at our state-of-the-art facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance and reliability of our diverse fleet of trucks. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment that supports businesses across various industries by maintaining and enhancing vehicle functionality and safety. Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicle components. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in diesel vehicles. Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets company standards and compliance regulations. Document maintenance and repair actions, keeping accurate records for fleet management. Collaborate with the fleet management team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities. Provide technical support and share expertise with team members. Evaluate the functionality and reliability of vehicles, systems, and parts, recommending replacements as needed. Proficient in diesel engine diagnostics and repairs. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and electrical systems. Capable of using diagnostic equipment and software with efficiency. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication and documentation skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics (T2 – Diesel Engines, preferred but not required). Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
