Dodge City, KSDescriptionGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The supported
employment case manager works in two of the service-providing
programs of Compass Behavioral Health and is responsible
administratively to the CSS Program Manager. In addition, the
Supported Employment Case Manager is expected to provide vocational
services - assisting clients in preparing for, obtaining, and
maintaining community-based, competitive, integrated employment for
persons diagnosed with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness or
Severe Mental Illness. These services are provided in both agency
and community settings, such as the client's residence or
workplace. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A BA/BS degree
with an emphasis in mental health/human services or equivalent
experience. Staff member shall possess demonstrated interpersonal
skills, ability to work with the mentally ill, ability to respond
effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.
Experience working with persons diagnosed with a Severe and
Persistent Mental Illness is preferred. Must have a current and
valid Kansas driver's license. Must successfully complete Case
Management certification as stipulated by the State of Kansas
within six months of employment and maintain Case Management
Certification thereafter. Must complete Employment Training
Specialist certification within 6 months of
employment.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Case Manager will
obtain Strengths Model Case Management certification within six (6)
months of employment and will obtain Advanced Case Management
training annually. Will obtain Attendant Care Training and
certification per the State of Kansas contract. This position
requires a current, valid Kansas Driver's License. Vocational Case
Manager will complete Employment Training Specialist certification
within 6 months of employment. Will obtain CPR and First Aid
Training and renew training annually.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical

employee is exposed to a typical office environment and interaction

addition, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to
changing weather conditions. The employee will interact with many
