Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Device Management QA Engineer will support activation, service provisioning and device management testing for the product engineering team. The QA Engineer will be asked to provide feedback and guidance on test plans to improve the Product Development team deliverables. You will:Support the end-to-end activation and provisioning for devices across the DISH portfolio of products;Participate in the design and engineering for SIM and Device Management solutions across the DISH portfolio of products;Be part of larger Retail and Wholesale Product Development teams which validate products from concept through production, working with internal and external customers. SpecificsDefine product requirements for the existing portfolio and road mapped devices (e.g. functional, technical and business requirements);Collect, monitor and report device and SIM metrics & health of products (e.g. failed activations, batch campaign results, data rate throttling threshold performance);Participate in process for documenting trouble tickets with OEM and vendor partners;Provide customer service teams troubleshooting scripts and other useful information;Proactively manage OEM OS updates and impacts to device activation/provisioning & management policies, and coordinate with OEM product management (e.g. Release testing of OEM OS updates to validate no impacts to on-device DISH applications);Develop activation/provisioning & device/SIM management test cases with requirements traceability;Provide work plan and test execution report to OEM product manager for technical acceptance evaluation;Develop test tools, frameworks, and methodologies to deliver best-in-class product solutions. Skills, Experience and RequirementsBA or BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business (or equivalent) with proficiency in the English language;2+ years of experience in applications and services for smartphones and tablets including product configuration, feature and offering integration, third-party vendor management, new product introduction, and lifecycle management;2+ years of experience in mobile applications and services certification processes including industry leading practices (e.g. regulatory requirements, standards roadmaps);Activation: Experience on full OOBE including setup wizard, SIM-OTA and validation test cases;Device / SIM Management Engineering: Experience with OMA-DM, LWM2M and MDM platforms/policies across Android & iOS products;Experience using Standards documents & forums (e.g. 3GPP, GSMA, ETSI).Some coding or scripting experience is a plus (eg. Python, working with JSON data, etc.).Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members and across team boundaries to gather information and develop QA requirements.Must be able to effectively work with teams across multiple office locations.
