Overview / Job Summary:
This position is a Full-time Exempt level position, as defined by
policy to mean working a minimum of 40 hours per week. The Program
Director supports the Dean in the day-to-day functions of the
Information Technologies; instructs and designs classes as
needed/assigned (at least 50% of duties); coordinates, plans,
prepares, and evaluates classroom instruction. A Program Director
performs all duties as directed by the Associate Dean, Dean,
Academic Vice President, or the President.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited
to:
Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each
course to the Learning Management System (LMS).
Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content,
requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance
requirements.
Maintains accurate and complete scholastic records, including but
not limited to course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters
and attendance records.
Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet
the objectives of the course/program and improve student
learning.
Reviews, evaluates, and recommends student textbooks and learning
materials.
Additional, as the Program Director, you will be responsible for
all Licensure/Certification/Credential information for program or
courses. The role entails managing accreditation processes,
including document submissions and site visits, while also ensuring
the safety and functionality of laboratory equipment. Additionally,
it involves coordinating course scheduling, overseeing the
selection and purchasing of educational materials, and supervising
faculty members. Furthermore, responsibilities extend to
maintaining course documentation, promoting innovative
instructional technologies, and collaborating with the Dean on
curriculum development and program reviews. Overall, the position
plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and effectiveness
of the academic program.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in education background or computer
science background.
CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ Certifications or other industry
recognized certifications, preferred.
Preferred Requirements:
A minimum of two years teaching experience in adult education is
preferred.
Must be available for required course assignments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to
work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a
pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to process, enter and audit data accurately and
quickly.
