Three groups are eager to welcome a partner-track, ABOS BE/BC, Spine fellow into 270+ case volume. Many orthopaedic surgeons in these groups hold clinical faculty appointments at KU School of Medicine Wichita Orthopaedic Residency program. Wichita is a metro area of 600K drawing from 1.5 million in 2/3 of Kansas and contiguous states. A perfect storm of one retirement + 2 mid-career docs leaving the state due to family reasons led to Wichita experiencing a crisis shortage in spine surgeons.

-Join 10 Ortho Surgeons in Kansas Orthopaedic Center
-Join 5 Ortho Surgeons in Mid America Orthopaedics

Wichita is large enough to provide physician families with the quality of life they seek in a just-right-sized community. Single-family home price is 40% below national median, cost of living 10.3% percent below national average. Physician incomes are well above MGMA medians and Wesley physician commutes average 12 minutes. 14 minutes from hospital to airport with five major airlines.
