We Are Hiring: RN Registered Nurse - PostpartumAscension Via Christi, St Joseph HospitalFull-time, Night Shift, 3 12 hour shifts/week; 7:00pm - 7:00amRotating weekends and holidays, self-schedulingLabor and Delivery is a 15 bed unit with 3 ORs. Postpartum is a 30 bed unit. LDRP nurses work hard and have a great team ethic. Orientation depends on the area you have chosen and your previous experience. Postpartum orientation is about 4 weeks, Labor and Delivery orientation is about 8 weeks, and if doing both it lasts about 12 weeks. Your manager will check in with you and your preceptor frequently to ensure you are receiving the support needed. We want our staff to feel welcomed and supported by everyone. • Faith based work environment What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.Education:
      • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
