ACUTE RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN SIGN ON BONUS AVALIABLEMLEE has been working hand in hand with a critical access hospital to find a FULL TIME radiology technician to join their growing team. We are seeking a well skilled, highly productive team player to work with their program. New grads are encouraged to apply along with others who are interested in providing top notch treatment to patients. Position Summary Radiologic technologists are highly skilled professionals that are trained in the operation of X-ray equipment including, X-ray units, fluoroscopy units, C-arms and portables and ensure that the procedure produces high quality images. Technologists must maintain proper quality control procedures within the department. They must maintain proficiency and stay up to date on regulatory requirements relating to X-ray exams and equipment. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment. Maintain a safe and appropriate work area including the use of ALARA. Utilize medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and performing the procedure in a professional manner. Communicate effectively with radiologists and health care professionals as well with the patient. Troubleshoot equipment to ensure equipment is operating properly. Build necessary procedure/department protocols and train new employees / students Work as a team member within the imaging department. Position Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved Radiology Technologist Program OR completion of Military Training Program. A.R.R.T. Registered or Registry eligible Skills Abilities Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Field of Study: Completion of an approved Radiology Technologist Program OR completion of Military Training Program.Experience- Prior Imaging PreferredComputer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Electronic Medical Records software and Spreadsheet Design software.
