2023 Entry Level - Mechanical Systems, Test Lab Engineer
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Be part of a dynamic group responsible for certification and qualification of aircraft components using state of the art test equipment in a dedicated lab environment (testing to meet DO-160 requirements). This hands-on position will require commitment to providing quality test results and the ability to think outside the box to help our customers with their testing needs. This position will also provide many opportunities to grow multi-disciplined skill sets while working with other engineers throughout Textron Aviation to develop and perform testing to meet current and future certification and qualification test requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setup of electrical circuits for test setups
Operation of generators and multichannel oscilloscopes
Repair of electrical test equipment
Setup of mechanical test apparatus (air systems, mechanical fixtures)
Design and assembly of vibration fixtures
Troubleshooting of test setups and chamber operation

  Qualifications
  EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
  Bachelor's degree required in:
  Electrical Engineering
  Electrical Engineering Technology
  Mechanical Engineering
  Mechanical Engineering Technology
  Other related field
  QUALIFICATIONS:
  Professional and diplomatic demeanor
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  Ability to learn and perform in a fast-moving dynamic environment
  One of more of the following is preferred:
  - Basic knowledge of CATIA or other 3D design software
  - C programming language
  - Knowledge of electric motors
  - Experience with wiring diagrams
  - Hands on experience with oscilloscopes and other similar test equipment
  - Comfort with working in a laboratory environment
