ASC-29724- RN Labor and Delivery - Wichita, KS - 13 Weeks Contract

Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a Labor and Delivery Unit Registered Nurse to work at our client's facility in Wichita.

Shift: 07:00 - 19:30

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with expectant mothers for prenatal visits and providing care for normal and problematic pregnancies.
• Teaching childbirth preparation classes.
• Providing information, guidance, and hands-on clinical care to pregnant women.
• Monitoring fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
• Coaching women, assisting with any complications and administering medications during birth.
• Performing tests on newborns after birth.
• Providing guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
• Using equipment and administering medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.
• Labor, Delivery and Recovery of patients Triage capabilities RN Circulate in OR Care of Antepartum patients Willing to float to Post Partum and Newborn Nursery when needed Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school, associate's or bachelor's of science degree program; BSN preferred.
  • 2+ years of recent labor & Delivery experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS and valid state license as a RN.
  • Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families.
  • Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
