Registered Nurse Operating Room Job Description
Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment, collaborating with a team of perioperative professionals to ensure excellent outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Provide patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for the department-specific patient population
  
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery
  
• Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
  
• Monitor patient progress and consider safety and cost effectiveness when delivering patient care
  
• Participate in the improvement of operational functions of the department
  
• Secure, administer, and handle medication according to established guidelines
  
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify, interpret, and access appropriate resources in patient-specific scenarios
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
    
  • Current licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license
    
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
    
  • ACLS & PALS within 180 days of employment
