Job Description:
Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is
seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonography Tech to join our dynamic
team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing
high-quality diagnostic imaging services that are integral to our
mission of enhancing patient lives through innovative and
compassionate care. You will operate in a state-of-the-art facility
with advanced technology to support a wide range of diagnostic
procedures that contribute to the accurate diagnosis and ongoing
treatments of our patients. Operate and maintain ultrasound
equipment to perform diagnostic examinations across varied
departments. Work collaboratively with radiologists to produce and
analyze images that are used to diagnose and manage patient health
issues. Explain procedures to patients, preparing them for the
experience, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the
examination. Adjust and manage imaging equipment, applying best
practices and techniques to capture useful and high-quality
diagnostic information. Maintain patient records accurately and
follow established procedures with attention to privacy and
confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Participate in training and
development sessions to stay current with technological
advancements and best practices in sonographic imaging. Proven
expertise in using diagnostic ultrasound equipment with the ability
to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Strong analytical
skills to interpret sonographic data and provide accurate
information for treatment plans. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills to interact effectively with patients and
healthcare teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
to manage multiple tasks and maintain records meticulously. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
