Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist

providing critical radiation therapy to patients and supporting
their journey towards recovery. Utilizing cutting-edge technology

successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing patient
outcomes in our diverse healthcare community. Administer prescribed
doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy
equipment according to established practices and standards.
Position patients for radiation treatments using immobilizing
devices to ensure the precise delivery of treatment. Monitor
patients for unusual reactions and events, recording and reporting
any discrepancies for immediate action. Collaborate with
radiologists and other medical professionals to develop and adjust
individual patient treatment plans. Perform regular quality control
measures to ensure equipment is functioning properly, adhering to
safety and compliance standards. Educate and counsel patients and
their families on treatment expectations, procedures, and radiation
therapy processes. Proficient in the use of radiation therapy
equipment and technology. Strong understanding of radiation safety
and protection principles. Excellent communication skills for
interacting with patients, families, and medical staff. Ability to
perform tasks with high precision and attention to detail. Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing
conditions. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified and licensed as a Radiation Therapist
by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). CPR
certified.
