Job Summary and Qualifications Performs Imaging studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury. - Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed - Assesses patients throughout procedures and responds to patient needs as appropriate - Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed, including all computer and PACS functions - Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff - Demonstrates knowledge of universal protocols, and uses professional judgment and critical thinking skills when performing procedures - Assists with orientation and training of new staff and instructs students during their clinical rotations - Performs sonograms including Ob/Gyn, abdominal, cerebral, vascular, pediatrics, small part scans, and other necessary studies - Participates in the improvement of operational functions of the department - Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care and practices identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration - Performs all other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician - Associate Degree - (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or (RDMS-PS) RDMS Pediatric Sonography, or (RDMS-OB/GYN) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care to thousands of families in Wichita and throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma.
