Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Position in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) • Maintain 2:1 patient ratios • Work in Level II Trauma facility with 15-bed unit • Collaborate with intensivist, desk tech, respiratory therapist, and other healthcare team members • Must work well under pressure and demonstrate great assessment skills • CRRT experience and APHON certification preferred • Perform typical procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements • Work with general cardiac monitoring, CRRT, and TPT placement equipment • Use Meditech EMR system • Must have attention to detail and work well in teaching hospital environment • Opportunity to learn new skills with physician training and support Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive children's hospital featuring a 15-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a Level II Trauma center.
