Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Wichita, KS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,752 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Travel RN - Med Surg/Oncology Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: Chemo certification and ACLS certification preferred Description: We are seeking a travel RN for a Med Surg/Oncology unit. The unit has 24 beds and consists of 19 staff members, including new nurses onboarding this month. The staff on the day shift includes one charge nurse, five nurses, and an Admin Care Tech. We utilize a primary nursing care model. On the night shift, the unit has one charge nurse and five nurses when fully staffed. The patient ratio is typically 1:5. We use the Meditech charting system for electronic medical records. Candidates must have Med/Surg experience. Preferred qualifications include chemo certification and ACLS certification. Typical procedures performed on the unit include standard Med Surg care and chemotherapy administration. We value a positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team. Patient vital signs are performed every eight hours, with remote tele patients having their vitals monitored every four hours. Chemotherapy administration and handling is restricted to chemo-certified nurses only. We foster a supportive and collaborative team environment. Our unit is recognized for providing quality care, and our staff take pride in their work. We are a Magnet facility that values nurses' input on patient care delivery.
