ICU/Critical Care RN in Wichita, Kansas, 67220! Job Title: Travel
RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care
Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12
hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current
RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN Must-Have:
Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the
role. BLS ACLS TNCC or ATCN Description: This is a travel RN
position in the ICU. The unit has 26 beds with 15 staff members.
The day shift consists of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient
Care Tech. The night shift consists of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and
1 Patient Care Tech. The patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 for high
acuity patients, including post-CABG patients. Equipment used
includes balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO. The
electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical patients
include trauma cases, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general
post-surgical ICU patients. Procedures performed in this unit
include chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips. Ideal
candidates are driven, organized, efficient, and have a positive
attitude. This unit is competitive in terms of new equipment and
