Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Wichita, KS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,614 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wichita, Kansas, 67214! Job Title: Travel RN - Med Surg/Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Chemo certification, ACLS certified Description: This position is for a Travel RN in a Med Surg/Oncology unit. The unit consists of 24 beds with 19 staff members. There are 6 new nurses onboarding within this month. The team functions primarily under a primary nursing care model. During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses when fully staffed. The patient ratio is 1 nurse to 5 patients. The unit utilizes an EMR Meditech charting system. Candidates must have Med/Surg experience to be considered. Preferred candidates will have chemo certification and ACLS certification. Standard Med Surg care and chemotherapy administration are typical procedures performed on this unit. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team. Vital signs (VS) are performed every 8 hours. Remote tele patients have VS performed every 4 hours. Chemotherapy can only be administered by chemo-certified nurses.
