Patient diagnoses can include acute kidney and liver injury to end stage disease, including dialysis and transplant. Rehabilitation patients often have a diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other injury/disease requiring inpatient rehab. They collaborate with Nursing Department Directors and Hospital Shift Supervisors to provide the personnel, workplace, and technology resources necessary for the provision of safe, high-quality patient and family care. Core Charge Nurses solve problems effectively, communicating and collaborating with all stakeholders. They demonstrate understanding and commitment to the Children's Mercy Lean System and contributes to operational excellence. They maintain clinical expertise by providing direct patient and family care, working with staff on a regularly scheduled basis.
