Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description A typical day in this position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, operating a saw, and ensuring efficiency in computer systems. Safety is the top priority at all times in this role. Responsibilities Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Enter data into computer systems efficiently and accurately. Operate forklifts safely and effectively. Handle materials, ensuring proper storage and organization. Operate saws and other machinery as needed. Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols at all times. Essential Skills Proficiency in forklift operation. Previous warehouse experience. Basic computer knowledge and math skills. Ability to read and utilize a ruler. Experience in cycle counting. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 years of experience in a warehouse or production environment, preferably in a metals or manufacturing facility. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiency. The team consists of 150-160 full-time employees. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Shifts are available in three rotations: 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
