RN Manager of Case Management will demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.    
  • Supports the selection, training and ongoing education of case management staff
  • Participates in leadership committees, meeting and events which foster improvement of department services
  • Oversees daily performance of staff assistant and care coordination staff as directed by department director
  • Coordinates care in a manner which demonstrates regulatory compliance, knowledge of discharge planning processes and awareness of care coordinator’s responsibilities
  • Participates in department performance improvement activities

Qualifications

Required Registration, Licensure or Certification

  • Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or Licensed Social Worker
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy

Required Education or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of previous supervisory experience
  • Three years of clinical experience in acute care or case management

Preferred Education or Experience

  • Bachelors of science in Nursing from an accredited institution

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of accepted program planning and adult education standards and practice
  • Knowledge of accepted Medical Social Services standards of practice
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the organization
  • Demonstrates excellence in customer service
