The Wellness Coordinator position -will work in partnership with
the Human Resources Business Partner and the Wellness Committee to
plan, develop, promote, and coordinate PEC's Worksite Wellness
Program, Healthy PersPECtives.
How Your Skills Will Be Used:
- Participate as a key member in the planning and development of
PEC's wellness program; key responsibilities include: enhance PEC's
core value of "I Love My Work" by creating a culture of wellness;
enhance PEC's core value of "Energizing" by engaging staff
participation to improve their well-being; enhance PEC's core value
of "Family" by helping staff to mitigate health risks, And enhance
PEC's core value of "Add Value Everyday" by encouraging behavior
that reduces health care costs.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of staff health
evaluations, awareness events and classes, challenges, and health
communications.
- Utilize skills to enhance PEC's core value of "Do the Right
Thing" by encouraging staff behavior changes, adoption of lifestyle
habits that are conducive to a higher quality of life and emphasize
preventative care.
- As part of PEC's core value of "Leaders Made Here", organize
and collaborate with remote office "wellness champions" to help
support and promote the program throughout all offices.
- Document coaching interactions and other programming to provide
reports on participation, activities results, and participant
feedback.
- Proactively create and manage internal relationships with all
staff through wellness coaching
- Other onsite responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in nutrition,
health education, public health or other health-related field
required. - Nutrition/dietetics experience preferred. - Minimum 1 -
3 years related experience.
- Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: - CPR/AED/First Aid
Certification required (or obtained within 6 months of employment).
-Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification
preferred but not required. - Must show proof of certifications and
licensure.
- Onsite wellness experience a plus.
- Proven coordination, organizational and time-management
skills.
- Strong conceptual, strategic and visionary skills.
- Experience providing one-on-one health coaching.
- Nutrition/dietetics background.
Requirements:
- Strict confidentiality required to build staff trust.
- Understanding of and compliance with HIPAA
requirements.
- Energetic, professional, self-motivated and
independent.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication
skills.
- Ability and creativity to develop program and promotional
material, instruct health education events and lead wellness
programs.
- Lead special projects and initiatives (i.e., health education
campaigns, in-house food guidelines, etc.)
- Strong background in motivational strategies for behavior
modification.
- Takes a holistic approach to wellness - including the mind-body
connection.
- Understanding of both client and participant needs, and able to
work with employees at all levels.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with participants,
peers, supervisors and management team.
- Track and report performance measures including events
delivered, participation, and outcomes.
- Maintain current certifications and seek on-going professional
development.
