Job DescriptionMedical ScribeAbout the Job: The Medical Scribe is responsible for accompanying physician's into the patient exam rooms in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present.Roles and Responsibilities

• Transcribing patient history and physical exam
• Accurately documenting physician's encounter with patient
• Listing all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications
• Document any procedures completed by the physician
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information Set Yourself Apart: Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • CNA or Registered Medical Assistant Preferred
  • One-year experience in an orthopedic or physical therapy setting preferred
  • 6 months experience as a scribe preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment
