Job Description:
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
(Possibility of some weekends and evenings)This is a temporary
position in the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) for
COVID-19 response. The Vaccine Data Entry Associate performs
accurate and timely data entry of client information from completed
forms into electronic systems, including Athena electronic health
record and KS WebIZ. The Associate assesses the accuracy of forms
using standardized protocols and assists with COVID-19 data
reports. Follows HIPAA procedures.Perform data entry of client
information into electronic systems.From completed forms and other
reports, enter client information into Athena electronic health
record systemAs requested, enter client information into KS WebIZ
systemEnter data into systems accurately and timely according to
protocolsAssess accuracy of information input into systems through
utilization of standard protocolsPerform self-audits of entered
dataAssist with creation, implementation, and upkeep of vaccine
tracking methods and reportsCommunicate issues to supervisorVerify
vaccine data through multiple sources, including KS WebIZSupport
the SCHD COVID-19 responseAssist with data entry and standard
reporting in other areas of the SCHD COVID-19 response as
assignedDocument daily workFollow HIPAA proceduresAssist in
training new staffMinimum Qualifications: High School diploma or
equivalent. Experience in a clerical, office, or school setting
utilizing customer service and data entry skills. One year of work
or school experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. In order to
comply with the requirements of the federal health care staff
COVID-19 vaccination mandate, all employees of COMCARE and the
Health Department must be fully vaccinated. All offers of
employment are contingent upon submission of vaccination
documentation prior to start date.Preferred Qualifications:
Associates' degree or higher. Two years of work experience in
clerical or office settings or two years of work experience in a
public setting providing customer service, including such skills
as, but not limited to, computer experience, data entry, customer
service, phone experience, office equipment use, and decision
