If you are interested in this opportunity, apply to this post directly or email your resume to Position: Aircraft Painter - Wichita, KSPay: $20-$29/hrDuration: 3 month contract-to-hireShift: Monday - Friday 6:42am-3:12PM Monday - Friday 3:12pm - 11:42 pm Required:1 year of aircraft painting experience (paint prep work AND aircraft taping and masking experience) Corporate Aircraft Description: This person will be responsible for prepping the aircraft to be painted. Duties include: masking, taping, sanding, etc.--- Read engineering drawings to identify the tasks to be performed in preparation for the application of chemicals and paint to aircraft surface--- Apply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surface with stripper to remove all paint--- Assist with moving aircraft to appropriate bay--- Mask, unmask, and remask appropriate areas of aircraft surface to ensure complete protection of windows and other areas susceptible to damage--- Remove stripper, excess paint, and/or contaminants using water, solvents, airblower, and/or brushes--- Sand, grind, and buff polished areas of aircraft surface, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for the application of primer and paint--- Apply alodine to aircraft surface using spray equipment--- Assist with the application of primers to aircraft surface--- Assist with painting parts, components, and/or aircraft surface--- Assist with checking for imperfections after painting and striping application using discrepancy sheet and documented squawks and perform touch-up work as required About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
