- Compensation: $32 /hr
- Worksite Location: NCAT Campus (5:30pm - 9:30pm) Monday to
Thursday Overview / Job Summary:The adjunct faculty member will
provide instruction in the classroom in areas of expertise as
assigned. Instruction may include classroom lectures, facilitating
group discussions and projects, and/or computer laboratory
instruction at various College locations. Our
Architecture-Mechanical Design program focuses on providing
students with a solid foundation in mechanical design principles,
architecture, and technical skills required for successful careers
in the industry.Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are
not limited to:
- Deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, and hands-on sessions
to students, covering a wide range of topics in architectural and
mechanical design. Foster a positive and inclusive learning
environment that promotes active participation and critical
thinking.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops to help students
gain a comprehensive understanding of architectural and mechanical
design principles, techniques, and tools.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects,
examinations, and other assessment methods. Provide constructive
feedback to students to support their academic growth and
success.
- Be accessible to students outside of class hours for academic
advising, mentoring, and support. Assist students with their
queries and guide them towards additional resources for further
learning.
- Continuously update your knowledge of advancements in
architectural and mechanical design, as well as related software
and technologies. Share this knowledge with students and
colleagues, contributing to the overall improvement of the program.
RequirementsEducation:
- Possess a minimum of a Technical Certificate in Architecture or
Mechanical Design, or a closely related field. An Associate's
degree or Bachelor's degree would be considered and highly
beneficial.Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Have substantial professional experience (3-5 years) in
architectural and/or mechanical design, with a track record of
successful projects and achievements in the industry.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education or professional
training settings is highly desirable. Ability to effectively
communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences is
essential.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools
related to architectural and mechanical design, such as AutoCAD,
Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, and Chief Architect.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
for effectively conveying ideas and concepts to students and
colleagues
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with fellow
faculty members and contribute to the growth and development of the
department.
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for teaching and helping
students succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.
