The Enterprise Data Steward will develop and execute controls to
improve data quality across the Association and coordinate with
business partners in identifying new or changes to processes and
procedures. The Enterprise Data Steward will work directly with
business unit stewards, subject matter experts, business analysts,
technology staff, architects and delivery teams to ensure efforts
support the Association's success and promote industry best
practices in data management. The Enterprise Data Steward is
responsible for providing tools, expertise and training to staff
who define, produce, and use data to improve the accuracy and
integrity of the managed information delivered to internal and
external users. The individual will be responsible for defining and
cataloging data elements contained within the Association's data
-- Coordinate with business and technology partners to participate
in the BI/DW development effort to analyze, map, and define
requirements. Ensure the developed outcome meets the business
-- Define and catalog critical data elements within the
Association's metadata repository. This includes supporting
multiple data categories and interacting with individuals
supporting each category.
-- Recommend consistent business naming standards for use across
the Association; develop data definitions, standard calculations,
and business rules.
-- Communicate proper understanding and use of metadata
requirements for data elements contained within the Association
-- Assess and report on the quality of data across the
organization. Participate in projects to improve data quality and
-- Maintain an efficient process to ensure accurate information is
delivered to users. Recommend process improvements.
-- Collaborate with IT staff to develop strategies for warehouse
implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery.
-- May perform system administration duties for assigned
configurable enterprise systems.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. BA/BS degree in business, accounting or equivalent.
2. Minimum five years progressively responsible experience in
Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Data Management and/or Data
Stewardship; preferably in the financial services industry.
3. Effectively communicates complex information with both internal
and external contacts at a variety of organizational levels.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data management best
practices. Ability to recognize and analyze data patterns and

flexible problem solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently or with a team as needed. Is
willing to cross train and cover for others as needed.
7. Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Knowledge of ad hoc reporting and analytics tools. Prior
experience with Microsoft SQL Management Studio is preferred.
Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a
typical office setting. Employee will be sitting for extended
periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and work at a
computer for an extended period of time. Must have strong written
and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work
well with a team. Ability to talk and hear, sit and use their hands
and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in
performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25
pounds required. Work during established business hours and may
require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
