Their duties include reviewing company documents to make inferences about factors like communication or productivity, working with the HR department to implement hiring procedures and communicating with upper management to improve production. This position supervises and manages all facets of a process or project related to production and distribution. They work to increase productivity and improve efficiency among a team or throughout the supply chain. Their duties include managing production and shipment per customer demand includes, raw material planning, production schedules, and deliveries . This position makes sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization. They'll work closely with team members to build strategies to maximize their performances. This person will also collaborate with other departments and team members to set goals for the production and warehouse team. They're in charge of scheduling routine maintenance to keep the equipment running effectively and maintaining quality standards. The Director of Production also develop strategies on investment for production process, system and competence for production efficiency and growth. The Director will establish a continuous improvement structure and drives for continuous improvement on production to fulfill customer needs.This role will primarily sit in Wishita, Kansas but travel to Indianapolis is also required (25%).   • Ensure safety culture and practice are in place within the team. Continuous driving for safety as a priority to be the best in class within the industry.
  • Defining, implementing, and revising production/facility policies and guidelines towards a safe, efficient, and flexible manufacturer
  • Developing and executing new growth directives
  • Working with the human resources department to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters. Build an organization structure for business continuity with a high-performance team
  • Understand customer requirements and accordingly prepare production plan.
  • Work with management to oversee the preparation of production proposals, SOW and pitches.
  • Developing and managing overall budget.
  • Maintain vendor relationship and monitor vendor performance
  • Work with production team to manage production workflow, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitor production activities and adjust schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Develop process improvements to optimize production speed and quality.
  • Establish and enforce production and quality standards.
  • Motivate team members to deliver exceptional work and exceed expectations.
  • Organize job trainings to team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain all production related documentations for future reference purposes.
  • Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operationsCOMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Proven record in training employees about safety and production
    • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
    • Ability to coach and motivate employees EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field. Managerial Experience:
      • 5 - 7 years' experience in managing teams of full time and part time individual contributors and managers
      • Proven ability to build a high-performance team
      • Strong written and oral communication skills COMPETENCY:
