Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide
technical support for the 22nd Communications Squadron at McConnell
AFB. - This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Provide IT hardware, software, and account support. -Maintain,
troubleshoot, configure and repair IT equipment. -Install,
maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and other network
infrastructure. -Plan and execute Information Technology activities
and projects. -Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair software
(operating system and applications). -Build, request, maintain,
troubleshoot, and repair user accounts and groups. - Assist with
hardware and software inventory management duties. - Document all
tasks, new and completed, in the designated help desk database.
-Perform administrative duties as needed: management of user and
operational forms, inventory records, data calls, office file
maintenance, in-processing, out-processing etc. -Serve as an IT
staff representative to non-flight entities when needed (e.g.
coordinate with outside IT teams or help desks, contractors or
other Government agencies). -Comply with DoD Directive 8500.01, Air
Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1301 Computer Security (COMPUSEC), AFMAN
17-1303 Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Program, AFI 17-101
Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Air Force Information
Technology (IT), AFI 17-130 Cybersecurity Program Management, and
AFI 33-332, Air Force Privacy and Civil Liberties Program. - Triage
incoming service requests and work orders and respond to technical
hardware, software, and user problems.
Qualifications
2+ years experience in a technical support role. - Must be
Security+ certified. - Must hold an operating system certification
(e.g. Microsoft). - Experience configuring, maintaining,
troubleshooting, and repairing the following: printers, scanners
and multifunction devices; IT networks and networked devices;
network cabling; personal computers, laptops, common peripheral
devices and applicable software of said devices; mobile devices
including Apple iOS; wireless protocols and devices; common
Microsoft operating systems and applications (e.g. Server 2016,
Windows 10, DOS commands, Office 2010); and non-specific software
applications. - Able to organize and track systems; establish and
maintain said systems (e.g. help desk ticket tracking database,
hardware and software inventory tracking, and office files). -Able
to communicate clearly, good verbal and written communication
skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and
non-technical team members as well as functional management. -Must
have good personal and teamwork skills. -Possess the ability to
perform accurately in situations of evolving organizational
requirement and deadlines. -Must be able to walk or stand for up to
8 hours at a time. -Must be able to work from a step ladder, reach
under desks, and lift up to 50 pounds to chest level. -Must have
the skills and abilities to quickly learn through on-the-job
training and assigned reading. - Must possess normal color vision
as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards. -Must
be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
