Join us in our efforts to better serve our community! -A few responsibilities of our Anesthesia Technician include: -
  • Provides the operating room staff, surgeons, and---anesthesia personnel with the necessary supplies and---equipment for the surgical procedures -
  • Ensures utilized equipment (included but not limited to: glidescope/bronchoscope/difficult intubation equipment) is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use.
  • Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs.
  • Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion. -
  • Performs 1st level testing and maintenance on anesthesia equipment -
  • Trouble shoots issues with anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment -
  • Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures. -
  • Maintains inventory/stock levels, ordering, acquiring supplies and minor instruments and equipment -
  • Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service -Required Job Qualifications include: -
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR -
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively -

    • Basic personal computer skills -
