Established in 1988 GEM-- Valves USA has become a recognized
leader in the development, production and manufacturing of
engineered diaphragm valves. The company employs around 120
employees in South Atlanta and continues to expand its footprint in
the USA. GEM-- Valves USA is currently looking to grow their IND
(Industry) Business Segment and therefore is seeking a highly
motivated Regional Sales Manager - Midwest with knowledge of the
Valves and their various applications.
Job Duties (Including but not limited to):
Develop, market, and sell all GEM-- product lines to all applicable
accounts within the applicable region (SD/KS/NE/IA/MO) . Those
products include the IND product line and support of the PFB
(Pharmaceutical, Food, Biotechnology), instrumentation, and SEM
(Semiconductor & Microelectronic) product lines.
Utilize specialized distribution in conjunction with developing OEM
accounts that offer profitable growth while minimizing conflict
Oversee and audit distributor's work at end user level. Responsible
for identifying, contacting, and developing new accounts. Once an
account is properly developed, responsible for smooth transition of
account to distribution or direct status.
Set up seminars at A&E firms by working with appropriate
Product Managers to influence valve specifications and ensure GEM--
is specified. Follow up with Product Manager and/or Team Leader
and/or National Sales Manager to coordinate the specification work,
identifying decision makers, and forwarding information to
counterparts in sales.
Manage OEM's, end users, engineering/contracting firms, and
distributors in the region.
Submit a travel itinerary within one to two weeks prior to
Submit trip reports in timeframe determined by National Sales
Perform all related sales tasks as directed by your manager as they
Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, develop and
increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
Analyze bid requests and specifications for major
Follow up on quotations. Provide feedback to Inside Sales
Document all sales activity in CRM and use other sales tools as
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related
field such as Business Management
A minimum of 5 years work related experience
Technical understanding of Industrial Valves and/or Pumps
Experience selling Valves to Engineering Firms, Water Treatment
Plants or the Mining Industry is highly preferred
Excellent Interpersonal Communication skills; Comfortable giving
presentations to Engineers and Management/Executive level decision
Working knowledge of ISO Manufacturing Standards preferred
Wiling to travel up to 60% (mainly Domestic, some
Intermediate to advanced Computer Skills (MS Office Suite, CRM
Must live in one of the states within Territory
