OverviewPrivate Banking Associates must be enthusiastic in helping to launch a unique business strategy in which their main focus will be to support affluent member and business portfolios by fostering relationships with concierge-level service. Private Banking Associates are responsible for maintaining expert level knowledge on business and consumer products and services. This individual will develop and expand interdepartmental relationships and coordinate member interactions with the Private Banking Team. Responsible for supporting loan and deposit portfolio growth, revenue generation and revenue growth.ResponsibilitiesGeneralRecognize and convey what sets Meritrust apart from other financial institutions.Support fellow employees, adapt to changes in job expectations promptly, promote a positive team environment, and work collaboratively with Business and Retail teams to meet goals.Demonstrate unwavering integrity, ensuring commitments to members are honored. Appreciate and work to understand the diverse needs of a broad member base.Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude.Stay abreast of all current and developing products/services offered to members and, when possible, personally utilize credit union services in order to assist members effectively.Complete account servicing and maintenance with detailed follow-up for quality assurance and complete concierge experienceAffluent Member SpecificManage walk in traffic, prioritize members and coordinate with Private Banking Team.Establish new member relationships, opening appropriate consumer accounts based on financial needs.Retain and build existing member relationships using a consultative approach. Advise members of relevant products and services to ensure maximum benefit, use, and comfort. Introduce and promote consumer members to the ITM as their point of contact for teller transactions when visiting the Meritrust Center branch. Promote benefits of all self-service banking (e.g. ITMs, e-ATMs, on-line banking, mobile banking.)Manage onboarding of affluent members to ensure long term service level commitments are met. Assist with problem resolution for members, in accordance with established procedures and regulations. For more complex transactions, transition member to appropriate remote service.Ensure required documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately. Should a deficiency be identified later, quick member follow-up and resolution is expected. Assist members with obtaining consumer loan products by accepting loan applications and partnering with Direct Lending to complete member loans.Identify qualified appropriate referral opportunities while working in partnership to assist with a need (e.g. Wealth Management, Mortgage, Consumer Lending).Business Member SpecificSupport sales goals and service standards to establish and sustain successful business member relationships to maximize loan and deposit product penetration, along with applicable services, increasing credit union revenue.Coordinate with Private Banking Team to support branch portfolio by continually anticipating and meeting business members' needs, while growing relationships.Serve as the point of contact for branch personnel across Meritrust assisting all business members. Provide account servicing/maintenance and problem resolution related to business accounts and services. Open new business accounts or other credit union products with completeness & accuracy while ensuring a positive member experience. Should a deficiency be identified later, quick member follow-up and resolution is expected. Promote and partner with Business Loan Officers to identify and meet members' commercial lending needs. Actively participate in all market related community giving efforts, while supporting the mission on behalf of the credit union.Manage onboarding of business members to ensure long term service level commitments are met.QualificationsMinimum of two years job related experience, proficient knowledge and performance of the job responsibilities and capabilities of a member consultant Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experienced team player in a goal-oriented environment High school diploma required Post high school education, or equivalent, preferred Background in sales, education, and/or finance helpful Excellent computer skills and comfortable using new technology Financially astute
