Job Description Details - Department: Cardiothoracic Progressive Care - Schedule: 36 Hours, Full Time, Fri-Sun shift, Night Shift, (3) 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm-7am - Hospital: Ascension Via Christi St Francis - Location: 929 St Francis St Wichita, KS, 67214 Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University. Responsibilities Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. - Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. - Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. - Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
