Summary:The Faculty member for the Industrial Machine/Maintenace
Technology Program is responsible for developing and delivering
instructional content that prepares students for careers in
automation technology and machine maintenance. This role includes
curriculum development, hands-on training in laboratory
environments, assessment of student performance, and collaboration
with industry partners to ensure relevance and effectiveness of the
program.Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not
limited to:
- Design and deliver course content that encompasses industrial
automation, electrical systems, and machine maintenance.
- Conduct effective classroom and lab sessions that include
demonstrations and hands-on activities.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing
timely feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Collaborate with industry partners to maintain a curriculum
that reflects current practices and technologies.
- Participate in program assessment and make recommendations for
improvements.
- Support student success through mentorship and advising,
assisting them in achieving their career goals.
RequirementsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in discipline or subfield OR Associate Degree
with minimum of 1,000 hours experience in career/technical field OR
4,000 hours worked in career/technical fieldPreferred Experience &
Skills:
- Four years or the equivalent of four years full-time work
experience in the industry, preferred.
- Extensive experience with following preferred:
- Electronics
- Industrial Wiring
- Motors & Motor Controls
- Programmable Logic Controls
- Instrumentation
- Industrial Fluid Power
- Manufacturing Automation Concepts
- Teaching experience in adult education preferred. Additional
Requirements:
- Must be available for required course assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able
to work with students, industry, and administrative personnel in a
pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no
supervision.
- Ability to use personal computer and software
applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to process, enter and audit data accurately and quickly
